Thanked: 11I have a chubby 2 Manchurian and I have a chubby 2 in super. The Manchurian is denser but it has a little scritch to it. The chubby 2 also dense but not as dense as a Manchurian but the tips are much softer and still has good backbone. In this case it really depends your preferences are. May this be helpful to you

That's a lovely M7 you have there! I have an M7 in Manchurian on the way, I expect to see it Thursday. It will be my first M7 and my fourth Manchurian. My other three Manchrians are all Chubby 3's, of which I still own two and regret selling the first (needed razor money!). Absolutely love Simpson Manchurians!
My two Chubby 3's:
My incoming M7:
The Chubby 3 I deeply regret selling:

Thanked: 67I have what is likely to be a bit of an unpopular opinion on Simpson's Manchurian Hair.
I've had about 8 of these brushes - 7 modern ones (from the last few years) and one Somerset Chubby 3 Manchurian.
I find this hair to be overpriced for what you get. Their Best Badger has nicer backbone, flowthrough and scritch, and their Super is usually softer (though this is not my favourite Simpson's grade). In fact, I think this Manchurian hair is not nearly as good as the now-discontinued Simpson's 2-band from about 5-6 years ago.
If the Manchurian was priced about what they charge for their Best, I'd say it was a good deal. As it is, I find it to be more hype and marketing than actual value for money. I wouldn't be surprised if this grade of hair was not distinguished from Best in the past, and they just decided to resurrect the Manchurian grade, knowing that it would sell for more.
Of course, it is 'good' - all Simpson's brushes that I've tried have been excellently made. Manchurian hair is just not all that (for me).
