Default Questions on semogue super badger brush. Im worried I bought the wrong brush/size

Hi guys. I just bought a semogue owners club super badger from straight razor designs and im a little confused. Is the one on straight razor designs the same as the semogue 2 band? Most other sites I see it at state that its 2 band finest. Even vintagescent states that they use 2 band finest badger. There was even another website that said the super badger they had is silvertip. It also looks smaller than what I expected. I will post pics when I get home. Im just worried I bought the wrong brush.

Far as I know SOC badger brushes are 2 band silvertip knots, could be wrong though.

This is the picture of the brush I received. This also looks rather small to me. It's suppose to be 55/24. Does it seem too small?Name: IMG_20160413_222240.jpg

That is a good solid size. Unless you want some gargantuan 30mm brush. Most like the size you are getting.

Yes, a 24mm knot is about the size I'd bet most people use give or take a couple of silly millimeters. I have had my SOC 2 band badger brush for a few years now and just measured it, 24mm X54mm loft. It has bloomed a bit with use but hugely. As suggested before mike the brush and see what the measurements are. Keep in mind there are slight variations in the measurements from brush to brush.

I measured it at 22.5-23/52-53mm. Im sending it back for them to find a bigger knot. Im still not sure if the "super badger" brush is the same as the soc 2 band finest I want but Im just crossing my fingers on that one. 95 dollars is a lot to spend on a gamble. -_-

Kind of late to ask but have you contacted the vendor and asked for clarification on the points that are bothering you first?

No but I probably should have. I just figured that if they are not the same brushes then the super badger would be better than the finest badger. Ill probably ask them just to know. They said I can send my brush back and they can look for a bigger knot.
