    The hair tips should split, regardless of how long they are. Make sure the brush dries thoroughly between lathers. I believe that brush has an Omega knot in it, and can take up to 2 days to fully dry, but it's important to the break in process. You can help it along with a hair dryer if you like. Make sure it dries and give it some more time, and you should be good.

    my only Boar brush was my Grandfathers, it is well and truly broken it & it still feels stiff & rough compared to the Black Badger even
    Saved,
    to shave another day.

    A little irrelevant but I started with a $20 boar brush from omega. It was a bit scratchy at first but the tips split long ago and it truly gets better in time. I reach for it 9/10 times. I've got silvertip badger by thater but I truly am a brother of the boar. Keep lathering with it. One day it will comfortably massage your face without scratching it.
