Thread: My semoge owner's club boar is still shedding and it's really discouraging.

Hi guys. I bought a semogue owner's club boar about 6 months ago and had 40 days which I've lathered it (from 1-3 times each day). The problem is that it use to lose like 2-4 hairs almost every day that I use it and now it still loses like 1-2 hairs. I just used it today and it lost 3 hairs. I'm really worried now because it was quite an expensive brush. Is that still normal? It worries me enough that I might just bench the brush because I don't want to use it anymore.

Mine also been shedding all the time and finally found itself in the trash bin. Real disappointment.

I would contact the vendor or Semogue directly and explain your problem Hopefully they will be able to help.

You should be contacting your vendor not us, we can't fix what us screwed up, or maybe from your other post about this brush it's on you. But it's not an expensive brush, so maybe just buy another and move on. Tc

Some brushes are shedders no matter the manufacturer or the price.

Most shed at first and then stop. Yours will probably always shed so you need to deal with that or send it back.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember making a thread about this question or this brush. In fact, I just went through all my threads just to make sure I didn't. I did make a thread about the semogue owner's club "Super Badger" brush which I contacted the vendor on and got it resolved (different vendor). In fact, I probably should make a thread about what happened because it might interest people to know if that is the brush you are referring to. I am just asking if people here have experience with the boar version (or any boar boar because I've never made a thread about boar brush shedding). I thought a simple question like that didn't need me to call the vendor as I assume it would be experience many people here would just know about. If someone here told me about their experiences if it is normal, then I would have "moved on" and kept lathering it for a couple more months and then contact the vendor if it is still going on and get over it. You said "maybe from your other post about this brush it's on you" and I'm assuming you meant to type in "We can't fix what u screwed up" (correct me if I'm wrong), but I have to my knowledge made no thread about this question before or brush shedding or even a reference to draw on. Also to me, this is expensive for a boar brush (bought it off of srd for 45$ plus shipping) or in general because I don't have that money to throw around. Thank's for everyone's help again.

Please describe how you rinse and dry your brush.
Could be a contributing factor.

I rinse it with warm water for about 30+ seconds under the sink to make sure there is no soap left and carefully flick the brush a few times to make sure it could dry faster. Then I put it in an open space right side up because I don't have a stand for it. I try to do test lathers with it at least 48hours in between each use.

You dont seem to be having a lot of luck with brushes:
SOC #1 - a few mm undersized
B&B essentials - a few broken bristles
SOC #2 - sheds a bit - is this the replacement for SOC #1 that you said you were returning on the 15th of april?
