If the brush hairs are that easily damaged, the brush isn't going to last under practical use. Think of how many times you mash, swirl and splay the knot while making lather. I use my brushes like I'm mad at them and they've lasted for years.

Simply take the top off and invert the container. The brush will slide out without harm to the knot, the sides are smooth so there is nothing to catch on. After use drop the brush back into the tube handle first and replace cap. If they did do damage to the knot they would not be on the market long and they have been around a good long while.

I completely agree with this, I've never had a bristle catch with mine. (Large pill bottle).

Has anyone tried the squeeze top bottles?
