    Default travel container

    Hi all,
I have seen the brush travel containers that are a cylinder with a removable cap, or the use of a pill bottle . but are these containers made with a cap on both ends ? So when removing the brush you do not go against the bristles.
    Thanks

I made one out of a fluorescent tube protector. I cut it to length that I needed. Since the ends have a slot for the prongs - air can get to the brush. Plus it cost $3.47.

These go over the light bulb after you install them. On an open fixture like in a shop - you would use these so that if you hit the bulb with something - it would shatter inside the plastic tube and not on top of you.

Simply take the top off and invert the container. The brush will slide out without harm to the knot, the sides are smooth so there is nothing to catch on. After use drop the brush back into the tube handle first and replace cap. If they did do damage to the knot they would not be on the market long and they have been around a good long while.

Thanks, I .hung up on the videos I have seen where the use is shaking the bottle to get it back out? Is there a recommended bottle size(its printed on the bottom)?

Shaking the container should do no harm to the brush either. I just don't see that as a problem as you are not folding the hairs backwards.

If you go down to your local pharmacy with you brush you may be able to find a size of prescription pill that will work. All you have to do is drill some vent holes in the cap and maybe the bottom and you are good to go.

My travel brush is in a prescription bottle and has been for 3 years, my badger brush that's in it is a Simpsons chubby, with no damage at all. The size bottle I use doesn't make it that. Holes in the bottom and top. It's actually better than any pre made one I've found cause I like my Chubby and it don't fit n those. Tc
