    I like horse hair brushes, but not for face-lathering as the tips of the hairs are very pointy (as compared to badger and boar when viewed with a 10x acromat). That said, with Vie-Long I've found the 50/50 blends to be softer than the 35/65 blends.

    Not horse, but maybe this is the brush you want? A wider waste and a shorter loft than the Semogue 620, and the bristles are more upright as loaded. Omega Brush Pennelli da Barba e da Vernice

    Yep, that has pretty much been my experience with my horse hair brush as well. I've grown to really enjoy it.
