Jimmy, congratulations! I hope the lather continues to improve!
Stefan, that is a surprise with the LPL as it is a veggie-based soap and it should have enough coconut oil to overcome any 'hard' water it encounters, I believe.
Are you loading enough soap onto your large brushes?Laughter, Love, & Shaving

Interesting, I have the Limited Edition Tallow based LPL Original - beautiful stuff...instant, full lather every time, from my experience, it's the Vegetal base that makes this soap so inconsistent...just my opinion, but I wish they would offer more Tallow based soaps.

I leave my pucks damp in my mug when done. I have noticed when like last week and I was out of town for a few days it dries out and the first use after is a little more work.

The LPL's are interesting soaps for sure. The LPL Traditional usually works well for me. The Patchouli, major problems with. The Pushkar, another one that is mediocre, and the Fougere is really troublesome.
The Cypres Boise on the other hand, seems to be just as robust as the tallow LPL Limited Edition.
One thing I've been wondering about their soaps is consistency....are they having issues with individual pours or something, because it seems that I'm not alone, on this site and other sites I've read reviews on, it goes from the best thing ever, to won't perform.
I remember the first time I tried LPL Traditional, absolutely blew my mind how nice it was, lathered really well and easily, and then started to fall off quickly, made me wonder if the soap degrades quickly once used??? Who knows...lovely soap when it works though.

This is the first time I have heard this. I have tried the Original/Traditional and the Fougere and had no issues, whatsoever.
It produced very good lather.
Maybe, it is just our uber-soft water, here, in Vancouver (.3 gpg = grains per gallon).Last edited by celestino; 11-30-2016 at 05:01 AM.
