Mirror mirror on the wall who's got the stinkiest badger brush of them all?
Why you do of course and it stinks so bad keep it away from me or I'll crack.
I got one of those Thater LE brushes and though it had quite the smell (like most new Thaters do) I didn't think it was that strong but it is turning out to be hanging around through thick and thin.
First I bathed it in Dawn Dish Soap and that didn't even touch it. Then I used some Shampoo and that didn't touch it either. Then I soaked it in Vinegar and I thought that did it but when the Vinegar scent wore off it was back as pungent as ever. Then I soaked it for hours in Borax and you guessed it no joy. Then I soaked it in All clothes washing detergent and it still has a a fainter scent to it. I think next I'll combine the Borax with the All and some baking soda.
If that doesn't do it, it becomes target practice.

One of the advantages of chain smoking tobacco pipes is it ruins your sense of smell. I've never noticed an aroma coming from a new badger brush and I've had a herd of them come and go.
The bad news is I've read guys talk about the smell of their natural hones, and I've never been able to detect any on the many I've had come and go. All of them kind of smell like Dunhill Early Morning Pipe tobacco ..........Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I could spray it with some Lilac Vegetal but then I would have to store it at Hirlau's place.

Thanked: 171With increased motorization in China, I always feared that the inclusion of road kill in the badger harvesting process was bound to have undesirable side effects....
