I have a Simpson Polo #8 in Best and also had the instruction/warning in my box but alongside mine came an additional instruction sheet from Em's Place saying to use circular or to and fro movements. BTW, my brush is great and I use it about 85% of the time (with mostly circular movements) but the shape of the brush has always been of mediocre quality (kind of warped) I posted some concerns on B&B and SMF when I bought it around father's day. ANy probs in yours?

I think they are just covering themselves in case someone uses swirling motions while applying about 1000lbs PSI and the hairs start falling out so they can say we told you not to do that. That's like renting a 4x4 from hertz and they tell you, you can't drive off road.

My Simpson bristles do not stand out quite as much as my custom silvertip. I really do like the brush though.

Do you mean that the loft is not as high? (From the knot to the top of the bristles?) Because Simpsons uses a fan shape short loft for their brushes, whereas Shavemac uses a bulb shape high loft style. Just different designs and personal preference.

I guess that you would be right. The brush is great. The label seems to have fallen off though/

That is guaranteed to happen. It's just a temporary sticker. I think it's there just as a merchandising thing for retailer photos or to look good on the shelves; it's obviously not going to last through a single week's shaving.
