    Sannosuke,

I have a new in box boar bristle brush that I got in a package deal with some other stuff. If you PM me with your address, it's yours, free. If I decide to use a boar brush again, I have another waiting in the wings, but so far the badgers have little to worry about.

    This is my experience, too.

Yeah glad to see the boar's hair brush getting a following.
    I love mine.
I use cake soaps and kiss my face creams and find it works wonderfully.
Oh and vgod How come you don't use the when I was a child I spake as a child version of that it has more power don't you think?

Ooo! /Might give one of these a whirl. I use a Vulfix #2234 and it's like using wet toilet roll to lather up with. Kinda have to grip it in the masturbation grip to make the hairs stand up stiffer.

Pardon the infinite number of puns..

Just back from town and bought myself a cheap boar brush. £8 from Boots. The lather is sitting on my face now and it seemed to go on my face differently. More under the hairs as opposed to my #2234 which sort of just paints over them unless I use said technique above.

Will get back with status report.

Quicker shave. Chin pulled a little more than usual but I think that's due to my blade needing honed. Will do that tomorrow.

I like the boar though. If in a rush or even for daily shaving, the boar is good. Maybe will keep the Badger for when I have more time and for special occasions when I need a closer shave.

I kinda like my boar bristle bruses better than my badger hairs. Which is funny 'cause I paid around $30-40 dollars for my badger brushes and never paid more than $6.00 dollars for either of my two boar bristle brushes.

I have 3 badgers in the main grades of Pure, Best and Super (SilverTip) and 2 Boars - one old british brand and one new Omega/Proraso. I like the Omega Boar just fine and can make some nice lather with it. The main thing I dislike with boar is the springiness of the bristle as compared to the badger hair.
