Thanked: 2Silver tip recommendations
Looking for recommendations for silver tip badger brushes. Are there any quality brushes in the $50 and under range?

Thanked: 154There are "good enough" brushes in that range. Look for Yaqi or DS Cosmetics for example on Ali Express.
Beautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.

It depends what you call good. Probably the best bet is a "Best Badger" where price and quality is the highest ratio. A Silvertip, even a small one will cost more. These days a quality silvertip will run probably close $100 or higher depending on the size and handle.

Thanked: 3224I'd have to recommend a SOC wooden handled 2 band badger brush even though it is above your price point. It has become my favourite badger brush even though I badger brushes costing much more.

Another option you have is to buy a knot only and fit it into a handle you already have. It's a little bit of work but allows you to choose a specific knot style and set it at a depth that's suits you.

I have a few silvertips but my faves are 2-bands. I prefer more backbone in a brush.
So check out Maggards. Lots in your price range. https://maggardrazors.com/collection...s-knots?page=2"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 13245The Golden Nib dot com
Their best Silvertips are in the $35 range
You can buy a Handle there for $20
Glue it in yourself or have them do it for $10
In well over 100 knots I have bought from them I had ONE fail and it was promptly replaced"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"
