    Default Brush Cleaning

I've had a badger brush for a few months (5) now, and it doesn't seem to absorb like it used to. Any suggestions or links to how I can clean it so it performs like new?

I wish I could help you! I have been using the same Badger brush for over two years with no problem! I just rinse mine after every use with warm running water until all traces of soap have been rinsed out! works for me.

I bought my first brush 30 yrs ago (hoffritz) used it every day for 20 yrs,is still in fine shape.
I have a seven day rotation of brushes I use now,all the same knots (24mm TGN grade As) all the same loft (48mm) all the same handles in diff. materials, have never cleaned a brush.

If you keep the brush clean and make sure you get all the gunk out it should perform indefinitely.

"TGN grade As" means exactly what? Yep, I'm that new.

From what I've seen, a good rinse in warm water and shake the water out and air dry should just about do it.

Although I thoroughly rinse my brushes after each use, I tend to give them an extra clean every 6 months. For that I simply let the brush soak in warm water with some hair shampoo for half an hour. After that I rinse well with plain water and dry as always. L'Oreal works the best because I think my brushes are worth it!!!!
