I'm currently building my shave den/cave (it's in the basement). I'll post pictures of where I'm at tomorrow.

OK, here is the work in progress:

The entrance to my shave den/cave !! Note the closet where I'll have plenty of space to put towels and all kinds of other stuff.

These odd looking machines shall wash & dry my clothes & towels. There will be some cabinets over them.

This is where I will build my ceramic tile shower. Note the light that should give interesting highlights to the ceramic & glass that will be there.

This is where the straight razor magic will happen.

This is picture gives an idea of what the sink will look like with the faucet coming out of the wall.

I'll be installing a heated floor to keep my feet nice & comfy while I shave, and I might have one of those anti-gravity chairs so I can lay-down & relax with a hot towel wrapped around my face/head.

So that's where I'm at now. There is still alot of work to do, but I'm enjpying finishing my basement, so I don't mind. I'll keep you guys posted on this project as it evolves. If you have any ideas you think I'd like, please let me know.

    Glenn.

Small is beautiful in a small house like ours. This is our 2nd floor bathroom. There's another downstairs, full of everything that women need to feel pretty.
Now what is behind the mirror is also some female stuff and not much of gentleman to get interested of. I have my stuff on the cabinet on the left. Not much of a shaving den but more than enough for me.

Ok I have tried to search this but couldn't find the answer for sure.. When you guys melt the soap into the sugar bowls, do you just lather up with that then use your mugs to continue the lather? I like the look of the soap in the bowls makes it much more clean. I have been just putting my soap pucks into the mug and lathering from there, but I would like to store them in the bowls as well... Any help?
