Very nice scales!
And I wouldn't mind picking up a real nice bowl/brush set like that if you ever decide to manufacture and sell a few....

Kilowattkid and I live close together, we are going to get together one weekend for a pinning party and scale up some blades.
Jerry, I like the accent stripes on the bowl and brush, with the brush inverted the strips will match up. Did you turn any ridges in the bowl to help out with your suds building? I have got to get myself a badger brush, I am using an OK boar brush but it is far cry from badger. You should make a brush stand from the same stock.
Nice job

No ridges inside. Didn't think of that. Did think about a stand though, to hold both razor and brush.
The scales look great. How was the blood wood and purpleheart? Looks like they took the epoxy well. Can't wait to see a razor in them.

They are coming along very nicely. I wet sanded the resin tonight and put two coats of high gloss polyurethane on them to restore the shine and add another layer. The finish depth gives them a 3-d appearance. I have a thread in the restoration forum on the epoxy. I have 2 blades buffed and ready to go with a third that will get finished tomorrow.
I need to cut some more scales, and get some new resin. The blood wood is my favorite so far. I want to make a set from Zebra, cocobolo, and olive. I have a hunk of walnut burl that will make a few nice sets and some Birdseye maple that should make 20 or so sets. It is a 6 foot one inch square quarter sawn plank trimming. It was going to get tossed but dad picked it up from the scrap bin. Should look nice with a little golden stain on it.
I have your soap here at the house, smells real good. I got the Cavendish and orange bay rum, really like the black Cavendish. Now if I only had a badger brush…
