home spun bowl & brush
WooHoo!! My brush blank finaly arrived.
I spun this bowl and brush handle out of a block of cherry wood. The bowl has 5-6 coats of salad bowl gloss finish (non-toxic) and the brush handle has ten "dips" into a poly-acrylic finish. Both have been sanded to 2000 and buffed and waxed on the lathe.
The brush knot is a 20mm extra long silvertip badger. I can't wait to use this. Just waiting on the epoxy and finishes to cure.

Scales are already in the works. Just couldn't wait to post this. Snow is flying and no Kerosene for the heater in the shop, I'll just wait a little to finish scales.

Haha, I just meant in the thread. I turn bowls myself and love the action shots for them.
