Thread: Georgetown Pottery Scuttle

I am absolutely interested. I will need to sell my moss scuttle first though. I like my moss scuttle, but I want to be able to build lather in the same cup. I was going to by one of Oscar's, but the design, price, and color options make the Georgetown Pottery scuttle a no-brainer to me.

Yeah, they are $40 plus about $6 shipping from Maine. When I placed my order with Jeff last December, he was still making them freehand, about 12 scuttles per batch, and it would take 2 weeks for the process. He was in the process of making a mold, though. If he has done that, he'd be better able to accomodate a bulk order.

Thanked: 4A quick response from the vendor....
Hello Robert,
There is no problem arranging a group buy.
It would still take about 3-4 weeks to get the scuttles made.
We are not going to be able to offer a discount while they are hand thrown.
If you want to wait until they are cast, we could offer you some sort of
deal. We should be able to cast them sometime this summer. We are still
working the bugs out, you guys have been a great help with this.
Lori

Thank you Robert for the follow-up on this.
I just talked to Lori, they are still working on a cast to "mass" produce vs hand thrown, and such mold will not be done til early summer. They are not satisfied with the present resultand are still working at it. They are right now not able to offer a discount, because of the amount of labor involved, but will be a possibility as mass production takes place.
I did not wait until summer, I just placed the order.

I don't think they have them on their site.
You have to call to order one. The color
options are the same as their plates.
