worked very well for me, no complaints, and i've made two of 'em thus far. dewey has the third handle and will no doubt be using the same thing.
i don't doubt that there are better adhesives, but this was the most appropriate one i had in my tool box at the time. a two-part adhesive was necessary, because there isn't air or uv down in the crevices of the brush to cure a single part compound.
as to how tightly the knot should fit, my knot was 28 mm and the closest forstner bit I could dig up was 1-1/8", which is about 25/1000 inch too big, so there was a tiny bit of slop. this actually worked in my favor, as i did not seal the inside of the bore, so the jb weld squished up the sides of the hole and sealed it once the knot was pushed in.Last edited by jockeys; 05-16-2008 at 02:01 PM.
