    Default Golden Knight Shaving Soap

My wife found this little shaving mug among her late father's shaving things. We feel it belonged to her grandfather. In any case, it is very small and I tried to whip up a lather in it but it is way too small and the brush handle strikes the sides all the time. I was scared it would break the mug so now it will be displayed as an antique in the "Shaving Pit". There was a small problem I noticed after using it to make lather, my shaving cream turned the clear glass into "frosted" glass and I can't get it off. In any case, I apologize for the poor quality photo but I can't seem to orient the mug properly to show the writing on the side.

The writing says: Golden Knight Shaving Soap
    ANSHEL
    St. Louis, M. O.

I thought some of you might like to see the mug and possibly know something about its history.
