Thanked: 11AusTexShaver, what scuttle do you use? A scuttle that needs to be kept warm sounds like an absurdity, more so than a candle-warmer even.

I use a GP scuttle. While it keeps the lather hot for a couple passes it's only warm for the third pass.
I have the kind of skin/facial structure/whiskers that's not conducive to shaving quickly.
Lately I've also been dabbling with doing some restoration type honing and when doing the test shave part I sometimes abort the shave and go back to the hones. Since I'd rather not start all over from scratch with the lather it would be convenient to be able to keep the lather hot for an extended period of time.

I have been using this setup for about 6 months now and works great. It keeps lather warm for 3 passes. It should work for scuttle also.
