What can you say about Nib's knots?
Well you won't have to imagine it's better than bankroll when you use it
Or maybe I only like them because I have little to compare them to, but they seem to work just fine. ( It'd be cool if there were different shapes available-merchants). I have two 24 and a 28 and there is no problem with them. Next time I order it will be from BB because they offer a 14mm= still working on that travel kit

Thanked: 351Well, I know MY LIFE would be for sure!
But seriously ChrisL, thanks for being a good sport about it... sometimes I get carried away with poking fun where others find it less than humorous, and it's particularly easy to go too far when doing so on the internet....
Regards

Thanked: 174Chris,
I don't know how much you know about the different grades of badger hair but if you ask Roney for example, they have a quality called "Finest". The tip is white, almost glowing and the base is black, not a hint of brown or yellow anywhere. Not that the colour matters, but the Finest just works really great. It is a bit special.
It whips up a great lather on soap (and with cream but that's easy). It holds the right amount of water and then lather. Finally, it really works the lather into the beard well. Its soft on the face, but the brush is not floppy as many silver tip brushes can be. The lesser grades of badger hair are brilliant for sure but the Rooney "Finest" is true luxury. I've no idea of the price but if it doesn't cost to much, extra, I'd strongly recommend going for it.

Kaptain - what goes around comes around.... my remark was tongue in cheek too..
I definitely give you enough credit that you can show someone how to use google. "Let me google that for you" is just a sarcastic website to use when the answer is "just google it"

Thanked: 735Here's my review of the Golden Nib knots
As said their, they are pretty nice knots, but do not come anywhere near the luxury of a Silvertip Shavemac, or Heritage Rooney.
But for $15????? You can't beat that!

i sent the owner of blankety-blanks an email a few days ago asking about something else. he was very generous in his time and service that he provided. we chatted back and forth on a couple of different issues. he seemed very genuine and sincere in the conversations that we were having. i would have no issues buying from him.

I have a goldennib 28mm silvertip and it is magnificent. very soft, almost no shedding at all, and lathers like crazy. you can see pix of the monster here:
