    the lid looks like it is the soap holder and it is separate. I checked out the site. the different scuttles look like they are sized for different size brushes.

    I just ordered a Georgetown Pottery shaving scuttle. I plan on microwaving a little water & poring it in & enjoying-!! I paid $42 for mine. I always bang my knuckles up on my shave mug.
