a little skeptical
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Silvertip-Badger-Hair-Shaving-Brush-Wood-Handle_W0QQitemZ280364504373QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ Health_HairRemoval_RL?hash=item414706d535&_trksid= p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A 1688|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50
i came across this item. i am skeptical of it though.
mainly because it comes from china.
could a silvertip really cost that little?
or is the price because of the fact it's made in china?

Someone from China was by here a few months ago trying to sell these and when asked to submit to a review of the product he didn't respond. He also didn't do as he should have and set up a Vendor Link rather simply try to sell through the classifieds even when he was instructed several times on what the proper course of action should be for him. That along with the low price puts these brushes in deep question in my opinion.

Thanked: 488Um Omega probably would be my choice between the two.
That ebay ad looks more like a best badger than a higher quality silvertip. The Chinese don't have the best rep for honest advertising.

Other than a razor that I feel confidant about I refuse to buy other supplies from ebay. I know that if I buy something from one of our many great vendors, and the SRP classifieds, I am going to get a quality product. With ebay items I never really know what to expect. It's just not worth the money and risk to me...

I've heard of several people with good experiences with the cheap eBay silvertips--I wouldn't be so quick to discount them.

I may have read on this forum years ago that most of the silvertip comes from China now?

Thanked: 488True they do come from China. I just questioned the grading because of the color of the bristles.

I don't profess to be an expert. But it "seems" like they are a reputable source and some of the feedback is about brushes, and it's positive. For that amount you're not breaking the bank (shipping may do) so you could try it out and see.
Push comes to shove, everyone on here will know they're not to be trusted for now when it comes to brushes.

For what its worth I have always had good luck with products from china. I have great faith in the Chineese ability to take any product at all, copy it and sell the copy back to the original market at half the price of the original. Most recently I have found this to be true with the Dinosaur and Super Dinosaur double edge razor blades. My question to the sales person is "what is his product a copy of?" If I like the product that he is copying then I would be willing to buy his product, becuase of my experience with Chineese copies.
