Thanked: 0I wonder if a boar bristle brush would be too harsh or not?

Thanked: 190Yes, I do not recommend a boars brush if you can afford a pure badger brush. I know $50 - $60 will get you a decent brush and $75 - $100 will get you a great brush.
$100+ Status brushes....... although I have no issue with pluncking down big money for top of the line straights, I have problems when it comes to brushes. I guess I would go with a $100 limit since I would need a stand out brush that makes my best pure badger brush perform like a "B" brush.
Good Luck!

i use a synthetic brush to wash my face sometimes, it is kinda firm like boar and it gives a good exfoliating (sp) feel.

Thanks! Tried this last night, finally have a use for my old cheapo Rite-Aid sourced boar brush. Works much like a Loofa, but way cooler, more manly, and you don't have to say "loofa".
With the amount of soap I usually use to wash my face was able to lather up the whole upper body!
