Default A whole new use for my Brush

I don't know about the rest of you guys, and girls, but I wash my face with a facial scrub/cleanser. I've always used my hands or washcloth for this task, but not any more. A week ago I loaded up my silvertip brush with one pump of my face cleanser and began to scrub. Within seconds a wonderful cleansing lather began to build on my face. I continued to scrub with my 28mm brush onto my forehead, temples, nose, cheeks and throat. After a few minutes I rinsed off and lathered again from my loaded brush. When all was done I had a uberclean face with only using a little bit of Cleanser. Awesome for me, but has anyone else stumbled onto this method? If not, it's a breakthru. Try it!
PS I would avoid using a scrub with those gritty sand feeling grains in them. Just the soft bubbly stuff.
    I Hope this helps someone
    All the Best- J

I made a silvertip brush for my nephew who just turned 15. Not enough whiskers yet to really have to shave every day, but he does use it daily as his face washer!

When I shave using the mug and puck I use my brush to clean my face after the shave is complete. Soap and all.

In fact, when the puck is running a tad thin and needs to be replaced I toss the old puck in a mug I have in the shower and when I have time I lather up and clean my face.

Right now I don't have any soap in the shower as I have been on a Castle Forbes shaving cream kick recently.

Do you suggest using an old brush and how do you sterilize it

I would only recommend a new brush as I favor new/near new vs old/needs help. A good brush is suppose to last many many years, but that is if you are taking care of it.

I think using only face safe stuff on the brush, rinsing completely clean of all soaps, and shaking as much moister and then letting air dry is the best method to keeping the brush clean. Sterilizing and sanitizing are two different things. Any harsh cleansing chemicals will damage the Badger Hairs. Don't want to wreck your brush
