nice- I like the interesting juxtaposition of the classic tortise shaving brush in front of the Geiger...not something you see every day.

They bring up good points about more water in the brush. I tend to go with creams for the base of my own concoction of uberlather. Some of my favorites
Anything Castle-Forbes
ClassicShaving.com Bay rum or Lavendar (unscented does just as well except no scent)
Also, when not using a brush for whatever reason, I like Aramis Shave Cream for a change. This cream is not for use with a brush. It is more like a thick lotion you put on face with fingers.

Well i just got done with my shave, used quite a bit more cream than before and i was able to get a lather for a 4 pass shave and touchup. Its kinda rough though because t&h is expensive and that tube is small. Ill probably start using it less often and use tabac as my go to soap.
Eventually id like to get a tub of t&H 1805 because i hear it lasts a long time and smells great.
After getting used to it im sure this is going to be my favorite brush so far

Lovely looking brush. I like to see brushes held in the hand, it helps to guage scale.

Hopefully other members have started answering this one! To me Cremo cream comes to mind and so does proraso - but i'm sure there are many other out there. The review section here and @ b&blade should help, however, as the ones on srp are not nearly as numerous. Check both to become an expert in soaps and creams!

You are right indeed! Though the lather may be warm, your face will tingle.
The way the menthol will feel on your skin will be unique to your body chemistry. For me, it's a short shot of coolness followed by a gentle tingle.
The "cooling" sensation occurs mostly while lathering the first pass, ime. The subsequent passes should feel more or less as usual. I would say that the menthol shouldn't interfere greatly with the enjoyment of a good warm lather. It does seem to keep razor burn firmly at bay, though.
Good luck!
