cyclelu - Yes...I have purchased several of these travel tubes--primarily for storage of my brushes. Personaly, I like them. They are not large enough in diameter for large size brishes such as the Simpsons Polo 8, however.

i have always used empty toilet paper rolls but now i might try and make one with wood, i have a bit of rosewood left from the brush i made and, bonus, it will match my brush lol. ill try this as soon as i get a chance

By the way, I tried the pill bottle solution by going to my local pharmacy and asking for the largest bottle they had ... they were very kind and gave me one at no charge, but the largest they had turned out to be too small for my Thater or my Dovo mid-sizes. Anyone find a source for a pill bottle large enough to contain a typical shave brush? Also, if anyone has bought a case of of the aluminum screw-top cannisters, I would be happy to buy one or two of your "extras".
