Thanked: 213Taking Care of your Brush
Do you take care of your Brush! Want your Brush to stay new or come back to life. When you use your brush the hair builds up with soap film water and depending on your water this can be a lot. So what do you do. Brush at the Spa Day. Every month I take my brushes Shampoo them and use a light conditioner.
The best shampoo to use is a a clarifying shampoo, you can get it at Sally's for cheap get one they recommend use for before hair coloring this will get all the build up out if your brush and then use a light conditioner.
If you have never done it give it a try I think you will be surprised. Your brush will feel like new again.

Should we blow-dry it after washing?
Just joking. I rinse well after use and have never noticed a problem with something building up - are you using some special thick cream or something?I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

I have made an appointment for mine, a wash and perm coming up!

Same here Don. Once a month I give all my brushes a shampoo and conditioner treatment. Since I also have extremely hard water I sometimes add a short vinegar soak in the treatment. I always make sure to rinse my brushes, never use hot water, shake the brush of excess water, towel dry and hang upside down in the brush holder.
Treat you badger brush as close as you would treat your own hair. (except for the haircut :-))

Me too, Only the best for my brush. I actually condition it once a week with "Nexus" conditioner....I take it in the shower with me once a month and give it a good shampoo.
I've also done the borax cleaning method. I don't know if ya'll have seen that or not...
it works...We have assumed control !

Thanked: 23instructions for use of borax?
What is the borax method? Perhaps I should just check the wiki first to see if it is in there...
