If I would go to Berlin, it surely would be one of my first destinations for shopping, however, my trip goes to Frankfurt and the Black Forest, and this is at least 500 miles from Berlin.
I may even contact the store and ask for this specific brush I want, too bad they do not list it on their site. But, I also know from the past that there are some very nice shops in Frankfurt, one of them goes back to the 17 century....

For comparisons my Thater Chubby 3 compared to my Simpson Chubby 3 in super is not as tightly filled but to tell you the truth it's not a huge difference and if I compare it to my Rooney finest medium it's the same the Rooney is thicker but not tremendously. On the other hand the Thater is alot thicker than my Plisson HMW size 14.

Well...Ray already beat me to the punch and has done the comparison here (thanks Ray ). He has done a great job in comparing 4 brushes (including Shavemac and a Thater). Once I get done with my travel deadlines and can have a relaxing weekend (in July), I will update this post and complement my findings with that of Ray's.

Finallly - The Long Awaited Results!!
Hi guys,
My sincerest apologies for making you wait...I just had to find a few minutes of time (and this weekend seemed to be the one) to take the quick pictures for you all to see.
The comparison is between a 25mm Shavemac D01 and a 24mm Thater (both silvertip)
1. The brushes in dry condition (Thater - right , Shavemac - left)
2. The brushes in full bloom (Thater - left , Shavemac - right)
3. The brushes in full bloom (Top view. Thater - left , Shavemac - right)
Well folks...as for the details (as tested)
A. Size (dry)
the pictures say it all. Even though the Shavemac is 1mm bigger in knot size, the brushes don't seem too different in their dry condition as far as size.
B. Size (wet - full bloom)
However, the shavemac blooms a good 10-20% wider compared to the Thater (even though, the size difference is only 1mm)...this is more apparent when the bloom is viewed from the top. The density of the brushes seem to be fairly close
C. The shave (subjective)
The lather (not shown) and shave for both was FANTASTIC!! . The Shavemac, to me, seems to have a stiffer backbone. Both have ultra soft tips...unbelievably luxurious feel. Also, on my face, it feels as if the density of the Shavemac is more substantial than the Thater
D. Lather hogs?
Again, the Shavemac sucks more creme to lather up, but when it does, it performs like no brush. The Thater is more reasonable in this regard and seems to take ~20 seconds less to make lather!! This was a bit surprising to me since I would have bet my money on the Shavemac with its stiffer backbone . But, YMMV.
I have ordered a 24mm Shavemac (regular or non-D01) from Bernd, but haven't received it yet. When I do, another comparison will be in the works...This will provide for a fairer comparative metric to the 24mm Thater..."Apples to Apples", so to speak . Will keep you posted in due course and time.
I will also post pictures of the brushes lathered up (which I didn't have time to do this time)
Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see in this upcoming comparison...something that I may very well have forgotten or not considered.

Going by your pics they look very different to me. They seem to have a very different shape and the banding is different also. The finishing on the handle is also different.

Thanks for the review and pics. My experience with similar brushes are the same. My Thater is still quite new, and it just keeps getting better.

Review of Thäter
Well folks...I recently was asked to post a review of these brushes. I have done so for the Thäter. I hope I am not breaking any rules by posting a link to review (mods, feel free to remove if against rules), but if interested, you can find the link here.
A review of the Shavemac will follow soon.
