my prized wee scot has been flushed..
i'm unsure if everyone knows my occupation.. i'm a full time live-in nanny of 5.. my charges are currently aged 2,3,6,10, and 12..
well.. i was just awoken by the 3 year old to tell me that the toilet was over flowing.. i quickly shut off the water and after several plunges failed at getting the water to go down.. i ended up snaking it.. and what did i find? my favourite brush.. the simpson wee scot.. my god i'm heartbroken. i don't know which kid did it or at what time.. but my entire shave den lives in a wooden wine box and everything was in place for last nites shave.. i'm guessing it was the 2 year old.. he loves my grooming products and i frequently catch him getting into my stuff.. i'm so bummed out.. the brush was only $35 from wcs.. but i just don't have the money to replace it right now.. ugh.
if anyone has a wee scot they don't want anymore.. send it my way..

I wouldn't mind a wee scot myself, having never tried one
Your loss is unfortunate, I hope you find a replacement. Boys will be boys ehFind me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage

Geez, that's a bummer.Maybe the folks you nanny for will go good for it?
On another note,I just purchased my Wee Scot and found the cheapest place to be these folks as it's $35 and free shipping.
Travel Shaving Brushes
Make no mistake for those who don't know, they're REALLY small.A bit longer than your pinkie finger.I bought mine as a travel brush.I've discovered that the Wee Scot will fit inside a Vintage Shave Stick container.

Thanked: 3795Was it damaged, or do you just consider it no longer useable after its swim?

I was wondering if it could just be cleaned and sanitized myself. As long as it didn't go into a dirty toilet before being flushed, it couldn't have gotten that bad.

Thanked: 39I would say that it is time to put a lock on that box before something else happens.
It seems like I saw a lock like you would put on a jewery box at Lowes.
Look on the hardware Isle. They sell small brass hinges and other parts for making or repairing small boxes.

Thanked: 1371When I read the title I had visions of a small scottish terrier going down the toilet.
Sorry about your brush.

Yea if your dealing with kids of that age everything has to either be put away so they can't get to it or locked up. I would talk to the parents about it though. I would bet they'll replace it at least in part.

thanks for the replies everyone.. the brush was mangled from the snake i used to get it out.. it may seem odd to own a snake.. but i've pulled out everything form barbie heads to 9volt batteries.. if the brush was at all usable.. i'd just clean it in some borax or something and keep using it.. but i took a chunk of hair out the knot.. really sad..
i'm also a victim of the recession.. i have not received a paycheck in over a year and a half.. so the chances of mom replacing my brush is damn slim.. i'll just ad it to her tab i suppose.. what'ya gonna do?
oh.. and also.. i keep my artist club and blades on the top shelf of my medicine cabinet... i'm supposed to have a private room and bath.. but i've raised these kids since they were infants.. they frequently come into my room in the middle of the night to crawl in bed with me.. and they have a fixation with my pomades.. so i have to always be on the lookout.Last edited by Pops!; 07-09-2010 at 07:42 PM.
