    Default Using just one brush?

Since I have acquired my Semogue 830 Boar Brush from vintagescent, I have not used any of my other three brushes. I have grown extremely fond of my Semogue and plan on purchasing another soon.

Now, I rotate my soaps, creams and razors everyday, but I have not rotated my brushes at all. Does anyone else stick to or own only one brush that they are 100% happy with? I simply have no desire to use my other brushes right now and I'm feeling guilty!

I have never tried a boar brush. What would you say is the diff between the boar and the badger?

Well, I don't know if I can give you an accurate answer to this question. My Omega Badger is not a silvertip. While dry, the bristles on the boar feel stiff and rough compared to the badger, however, the entire feel of the brush changes with water. I find that the boar is actually gentler on my face then my badger. Again, this is not a silvertip. To me, the boar seems to build up lather quicker and hold more soap. In addition, the boar feels sturdier so I can kind of mash it into the soap and my scuttle while making lather and not feel like I'm damaging my brush.

I do the same thing with my Thater brush. I kicked my other's to the curb. Funny thing is, at first, I didn't like the Thater. I thought it was way to flimsy compared to a Rooney for instance...I forced myself to use it, as if it was my only brush. Now, I love it. I have to make it a point to use the others....

I use one brush only, I do not feel the need for more.

Simpson Eshan is the only one for me (pic copied from Bullgoose Shaving website - I bought the brush off of Phil but I have no other affiliation with the site).

You mean we are allowed to own more than one brush??? I've only ever had one. To think what a bloke could do with two brushes!

Nah, I don't have the room in my...wifes...bathroom cabinet/bench space/wardrobe/old boot to keep another brush. I gots ta be thankful I gots a spot ta hang my toothbrush.

Like the Boar brushes and have a couple. Also like Savile Row, Pilson, and Simpson. Like the differences in all these brushes.
