Losing the occasional bristle is normal.
I use a towel after rinsing and flicking, then bristles down in the bowl.
Monthly I will shampoo and condition, read that somewhere here.
It works for me.

I always rinse my brush thoroughly, then vigorously shake the water out into the sink, place it in the brush holder and let it air dry.
You can also wipe it on your bath towel, but the main thing, imho is to shake the excess water from the brush and place it in a brush holder of some kind to let it air dry."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

i rinse thoroughly.. flick out the excess water.. give it a few swipes on a clean towel and then set it on the counter to dry with the bristles up.. it's a wee scot.. so i can use it daily without worry

Rinse it clean, then whip it until no more drops come out, then set it bristles up to dry.
