New Dirty Bird Scuttle
Just thought I'd share the new Dirty Bird Scuttle I received today. This is my first scuttle, is this what you veterans would expect for a scuttle?
With those swirls, I should make amazing lather, afterall, I use a smooth normal salad bowl and it works fine! I can't wait to try this in the next few days.

Julie makes a good product, I think you'll be very happy with it...
I have her 1.5 scuttle, and just ordered a double scuttle from her, The opening for lather building is wider than 6 inches...We have assumed control !

Tinkersd,
I ordered this scuttle through Dirty Bird Pottery. The total price, with shipping, was $68.75. Julie Moore, the proprieter, was enormously helpful to me even though I called her super late! I called the 'business' number expecting to leave a message late one night and low and behold Julie answered with a very tired sounding voice. I offered to let her go once I determined the business was actually the residence and she just woke up to speak to me. She was gratious enough to talk to me about the different options she had for at least an hour, and I ended up ordereing the scuttle posted above. I asked for a uniform dark color and she was gracious enough to deliver. The swirls in the bottom readily offer up lather and the nearly 4.5" opening offers enough room to swirl and swirl to your delight. The bowl below that holds hot water holds much more than I ever expected and can honestly say it could keep my lather hot for an hour or so--I assume.
I ran a sample lather and I was not disappointed in any way.
Regards,
Bodach

Thanked: 1That looks awesome bodach, any chance of a pic with the two parts seperated? At the moment I'm deciding between the straight razor designs mug or one of these. Ah decisions, decisions...

The Dirty Bird has a long consistent track record for being a quality scuttle right up there with the best of them.
