Two more questions:
How wide is the top of the bowl at the top?
How deep is the bowl?
The dimensions they give are 8cm for the small one & 10cm for the large one. Are these the dimensions of the width of the bowl at the top?if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

Thanked: 4942I am using this scuttle every day and loving it..........
Simply the best. No workaround even comes close.
Wish there were different shapes and colors.

I was checking some posts on Badger & Blade about the Moss Scuttle and some say that if you call Sara Bonnyman and talk with her about different colors etc. that maybe she will make one up special. Who knows it may be worth a try.

I've been working with Sara on a new version of the scuttle, more of a lather bowl. Dr. Chris is a face latherer and, as I understand it, never really intended the Moss Scuttle to be used the way most of us use it. I got the prototype of the new scuttle from Sara just today and it’s a real beauty. I'll give it a test drive tomorrow and report back. I’ll provide some pictures if I can. The man difference is that the bowl is much wider and shallower - 4" (inside diameter) at the mouth and only about 1-1/4" deep. The one she made for me is in her Waterfall pattern, which is stunning.

Thanked: 1Jim:
I'm not sure I understand the difference. I made a homemade scuttle and put the cream right into the bowl and mix it there. Is that what you're intending your design to be used for?
I'd love to see it when it's all done.

Thanked: 4942The main reason I like this scuttle is because it is deep and the hot water surrounds the underside of the top bowl. It just keeps the lather warm to hot throughout the entire shave. I don't care if I mix the soap in my hand, on my face, in another bowl or even if I lather the brush from cake soap. Tis a great gizmo.
