Yes, by all means catch a Badger and comb his hair. I think he would enjoy that and after that he will repay you for your kindness by bitting all your hands off and attacking you viciously.
Badgers are notoriously cranky critters with extremely short tempers. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I want to see you catch a badger and comb it! When I lived in Oregon I once saw a Badger stand up to a grain truck. If it hadn't been my dad driving it that Badger probably would have been a grease spot. He, and I, do our best not to leave dead things in our wake. And there aren't a ton of Badgers in NE Oregon. Still, if they're willing to stair down a dump truck several hundred times their own size, I'd love to see someone catch one!
Maybe they shoot them with dart guns and then the badger just wakes up naked!

Thanked: 1371There are programs where the badgers are told that they are donating their hair to other badgers that have lost hair due to illnesses, for the purpose of making badger wigs.
Then we actually use it to make brushes.
Badgers are so gullible.

Thanked: 3795As a kid growing up on a dairy farm, my sole source of income from third grade until leaving for college was from trapping gophers for a 50 cent bounty per gopher. Gophers produced mounds of dirt that could damage farm equipment. However, the worst damage occurred when a badger would dig down to go after a gopher. They would leave holes 3 feet wide and just as deep and this could cause much worse damage to farm equipment. For that reason, they too needed to be eliminated.
I can tell you from personal experience that you don't get badger hair from combing it. You also don't get it from whacking them on the head. Badgers are extremely vicious. They fight to the death and they would not give up a single hair easily. I firmly believe that any hair from a badger is recovered from a dead badger.

As the animals were being loaded into the Ark, Noah was heard to say, "Badgers? We don't neeeed no stiiinking badgers!"
