Simpsons No. 5 Best Badger travel brush. I forgot I had it, bought it at a flea market many years ago and found the bristles so soft, dense, and perfect I could never bring myself to use it.

Thanked: 270That's real nice. I gave up on badger brushes for travel. I got one for about $40 and it was so flimsy and mushy that I was lathering with the nub. The other one was a regular brush stored in a perforated pprescription bottle and it stunk. When I tried to kill the smell I killed the brush. For travel I now use an $18.50 boar brush from Imperial Shaving and it can take the rigors of travel. I'll just confine badger use to shaving at home.

It is nice, I've still not used it. I just pull it out once in a while and run it over the inside of my wrist to reinforce the "too nice to use" sentiment.
My everyday brush is a 10098 Omega boar. If I were to get something similar in badger, it would cost 10X the price.

From left ot right: My New Hans Baier Sivertip, My very first boar brush (owned by my father).
And last and indeed least: The ugly duckling, Omega Travel brush (boar)
