Like it has been stated, that odor is quite normal, and it will disappear soon enough.
I've never bothered with any shampoo or other cleaning of mine.
A couple of shaves using a decent soap and it is all but goneBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 4I wash my entire body with a new brush in the shower using much shaving soap. (chest, arms, neck etc..) This will remove the odor and start the bloom nicely.....
Works great-----And what could be better than skin and shaving soap to break in a brush? This simply accelerates the process. (naturally)

Personally, I think it's a wonderful aroma. I want someone to come out with shaving soap with that aroma. Some aftershave wouldn't be bad either.

its normal that they smell, use soap an rins him whit hot water. afther a time he smells like soap, and you cant walk by an not smell your brush

It's the shavers version of the new car smell, it disappear after a while.

No, this time I'm not joking.
I don't think it's that bad at all. It puts you in touch with the fact the thing came from an animal.
It's just an acquired smell.
Heck, it smells far better than some things folks eat.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
