Like it has been stated, that odor is quite normal, and it will disappear soon enough.
I've never bothered with any shampoo or other cleaning of mine.
A couple of shaves using a decent soap and it is all but gone

I wash my entire body with a new brush in the shower using much shaving soap. (chest, arms, neck etc..) This will remove the odor and start the bloom nicely.....

Works great-----And what could be better than skin and shaving soap to break in a brush? This simply accelerates the process. (naturally)

Personally, I think it's a wonderful aroma. I want someone to come out with shaving soap with that aroma. Some aftershave wouldn't be bad either.

I hope you are joking! OMG LOL!

The smell is typical until the brush get used for a while, it is enough to make you wonder what end of the badger they gave you.

I'm sure if you ask Mama Bears would make you up a batch. Or you could just rub a puck of MWF on some sheep.

It's the shavers version of the new car smell, it disappear after a while.

No, this time I'm not joking.

I don't think it's that bad at all. It puts you in touch with the fact the thing came from an animal.

    It's just an acquired smell.

Heck, it smells far better than some things folks eat.
