    Omega Pro49
    Semouge 1305
    Semogue 2000
Semogue Owners Club with Cherry Handle.

I've been told that bang for the buck, the pro49 wins, at a whopping $9.99.

The Semouge Owner's Club is apparently packed well, with 90% boar tips. (Tips split and become soft, but trimmed hairs won't split.)
The 2000 is apparently the size of the OC, but with lower quality hair.
The 1305, I'm told, is a lovely brush, but if you want a Semogue, get the Owner's Club.

Again, this is all from reading and distilling what other people have been telling me.....

Speaking of distilling, it's happy hour around here.
I've had all those boars and the only one I kept was the 49. It was my second brush when I started DE Shaving and it's still around and still gets used at least 2x a week.

Honestly, it's a workhorse and it's cheaper than most low end badgers and outperforms them in every way. It destroys soaps, creams, and shave sticks. When I get a new cream or soap, the first brush I use is my 49. I used a bit of Christmas money and bought another 49, a Vuflix 404 Mixed Boar/Badger, and an M&F Blonde. I figure since I don't have to spend for DE Blades any longer, I might as well get a few more brushes.

    That's encouraging to hear!

I really like the way my Tweezerman silvertip builds lather, but it is like a mop when it comes to applying that lather to my face (some may like that). Then I bought myself am Omega boar brush which doesn't build lather as easily as my silvertip badger, but the firmness of the boar hairs are much appreciated when applying that lather to my face. I thought about trying a stiffer grade of badger and then I ran across the Men-U Premier Synthetic so I ordered one of them to try.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Men-U brush. Try it out and report back.
