    Default Dubl Duck Brush

Just picked this one up. I am thinking of giving it a good cleaning but keeping the original knot. Think it would make a great travel brush. Anyone know anything about these brushes?

Very nice. Collectible, as are all Dubl Duck items. I have two DD brushes, but haven't seen one in "Pewter" is it?

    Nice find in good shape

I have restored a couple of DD brushes, but I have never used an old knot I always replace them... but if it looks clean and not brittle you might try a Borax clean and then a shampoo and cream rinse and see what comes out in the wash so to speak do it in a bucket or the sink so you can see what is coming loose you might change your mind about using an old knot on your face

It looks like aluminum, and to me that just spells SHINY lol, take some mothers mag and aluminum polish to that handle and it will glisten! unless you want to keep that rustic look, which is also good. nice find!

Being a barber supply outfit DD sold all kinds of things to stock a barber shop. Looks like you got one of their items intended for shop use not customer types. It's made in Germany so it's not a bottom of the line brush like the ever readys you typically see. I'd clean it up and see what happens. I'd use some baby shampoo and let it soak for about an hour and lather and clean and rinse.

It could be pewter, that was popular in the old days.
