The black on black is for a project I have in mind. I want to put together an all black kit. I'm also going to pick up (or modify a current) razor and cold blue the blade. The scales will also be black. The only issue I can see with all this is how I am going to get shaving cream to foam as anything other than white . Food colouring perhaps...All part of the fun anyway.

Thanks for all the comments and advice so far. I look forward to having another go at turning a brush handle...I was thinking of even trying to make it look like a coopered barrel next time around since Dawson put the idea into my head. It'll mean I'll need to carve in some lines to look like the planks and I want to tack on some thin metal strips around the body as well, just to complete the look. This one I think should also be made of Oak.

Mick, PM me before you start the next one. I know of the perfect material for your barrel brush.
    This one looks great!

That little black badger's family would be proud, knowing their loved one turned out looking so good.

That looks great Mick! And using a brush you made yourself must be a good feeling.

Good stuff man, there is something special about a tool that you have put a lot of time, energy, and thought into. Ya, you will enjoy it more than a regular brush...
