Thanked: 7Rehandling a brush
I bought a vulfix (pure badger) but i do not like the handle (plastic) how would i go about removing it without damaging the hair. Is there anything i need to note about attaching the knot to a new handle?

Thanked: 2You may desroy the bristles before you can remove them.
If you want to try, I would suggest sanding away the edges of the handle until you reach the knot, or preferably, cut the brush in half about 3/4" below the knot. Sand up from the bottom until you reach the knot. At this point you will have the knot, surrounded only by a ring of plastic. you may simply be able to use a hammer and break that plastic ring, and pry it off. It will be glued on, so you may have to work at it.
Good luck,

That hassle is what Matt does for a living and he does it quite well
