FWIW, I own one of the $35 C&E brushes and it's a perfectly good brush for the price.

    Matt,

I was looking at your for sale section but I didnt see any prices?

There is a price list on page three of that thread. I can get a list of brushes in your (your father's) budget. I've got a few that were not listed in the thread. I'm planning to head to Buffalo, NY at the end of november and can send any packages then.

Matt, if you could let me know what you still have available in my price range or any new items you have that arent on the existing price list. I really cant go above $70 and even that may be pushing it...If you dont have anything don't sweat it, Jim at vintage blades has some great prices it looks like.

    Josh,

I've included an edit in the vendors thread, but here is a link to a number of brushes that may suit your needs.

    http://ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/lon...?.dir=/5aabre2

I've got a few newer brushes that aren't pictured and will be in the 18-22mm size in best grade. They will be around $60-70 and all but the african blackwood is stabilized, since blackwood is naturally very resistant to moisture.

The brushes below are new, and aren't yet pictured...

    Dark Maple burl
    Redwood Burl
    Heavily Spalted Beech
    African Blackwood

Regardless what you choose, I hope you find the brush you are looking for.

Right now he uses his crappy brush with a disposable razor and regular old bath soap in a coffee mug, it makes me cringe.

I cant imagine it would be hard to improve upon what he has, but to be honest, I havent heard many people praise brushes under $100.00. The brush doesnt have to have a huge knot, I am thinking around the 23mm range would be fine, but it has to be badger. Any ideas?
C&E have their Badger Best brush (the $35.00 one) on sale for %20 off which brings it down to $28.00. It doesn't show it untill you check out (I just bought one last night). And FREE shipping on ANY purchase. This is good untill 12/5/06. Just about everyone likes this brush. Run don't walk!

Ya I know the C&E brushes are great, but I really like to support our SRP members rather than some large company, even if it costs a bit more.

I understand - then check out Lees razors - he's on B&B or shave my face. Really a great guy and good prices. If you want to stay with "one of the guys" he's worth checking out. Here's is toll free number 800 503 5001. He loves to help.
