Used the Thäter SRP as well today. It's just superb. Works great for facelathering and kills with a bowl.

Today I used my very first brush again.
It is a Simpson Persian Jar in Silver-tip.
It has worked perfectly from day one, and continues to deliver great suds with supreme ease.
It has a 22mm knot on it but I have no problems getting 3 passes for my face shave and 2 more passes for a proper headshave after that.
Good stuffLast edited by Birnando; 06-17-2012 at 10:15 AM.

Thanked: 6well beings i only have one brush a van der hagen brush with the awesome molded plastic handle thats the brush i use all the time. lol kinda sucks to tell ya the truth. i would really like to make my own brush vs buying one. where can a guy get ther hair plug? i have some osage orange wood that i made a razor stand out of and i think a matching brush would look pretty slick.

Thanked: 6Try the golden nib Fountain Pen parts - NIBS, - Wholesale Fountain Pen Ink - Golden Nib AZ they have hair plugs and handles. I've purchased two the first went the awesome molded VDH handle along with a couple of coins for weight. Although not a direct fit the 24mm boar knot is pretty awesome, very soft with lots of backbone.

I used my very large Omega, boar brush, red handle and no I don't know the model # of it but it works great on most of the soaps/creams I have used it on. Great all 'round brush in my humble opinion.
