    Default Longer handled brush ?

I currently only have one brush but I really need a longer one. Not a huge fat super badger silver tipped cost the earth brush but something that has a long handle and a medium sized knot, not over large. I prefer faux ivory handles.
Currently I use a Geo Trumper brush but it's not long enough to reach easily into my shaving mug.

    Any pointers or recommendations ?.

    Thanks

    Gary

May I suggest a shorter mug?

Take a look at this Shavemac page.

    What's your price range?

QED makes some nice silvertips with long handles starting at about $90.

Also, Muehle-Pinsel makes this one for $45.

Otherwise, Shavemac is the place to go - Bernd can mix and match most styles and a long-handled brush should with a 22mm knot should run from about $60 to $110 depending on whether you go with pure, finest or silvertip.

Both of these suggestions look to be what you are looking for. I personally have the Shavemac 436, and really enjoy it. The ones that Randy pointed out are even taller though.

I should have suggested Matt, but Gary specified he liked faux ivory handles. Yes, definitely check with Matt!

Actually RT that is not a bad suggestion. I just bought a vertical sided soup bowl and a shallow stainless steel bowl that fits perfectly inside. The end result is a ceramic bowl to hold hot water and an inner that is wider and shallower allowing my to use my nice brush I already have. Total cost $25.00

The Rooney style 2 is a long-handled brush.

Do any of you guys remember a post that had a shaving mug or bowl that had a rubber ring around it so that you did not have to use water on the blade. I would love to find one of these. Any ideas?

I keep a folded towel next to the sink and wipe the blade on that. it's unglamorous but effective.
