I am not having as massive of a problem but when I lather up I get a few shed hairs on my face. It is a daily occurance and usually I will have a few in the mug as well. It seems like more annoying than anything,

Is it a new brush? My new brush has lost some too but it seems now after 6 or so uses all the loose bristles have fallen out.

Better to have em falling out of your brush rather than your head eh?

The shedding should stop after a few uses. Consistent shedding is a bad sign.

What I like is fast those babies grow. You go to sleep one night with normal ears, the next morning there's a 2" hair growing right out of the middle. Incredible.

Well said senior moderator! I had/ have the same prob on a smaller scale but it exists nonetheless. Mine is brand new from vintage straight razor (.com) after being replaced by them twice prior for a faulty shipment or model. Now the third/last one they shipped me is leaving a few on my face after face lathering the fat. I'm just gonna let it ride a buy a Simpson sooner than later. Thx for helping us newbies..

How many times have you used the new brush?
some shedding is normal when you consider a 22mm knot has an estamated 10K hairs.
After maybe 20 use cycles this should subside but a hair or two will show up on occasion.
If you think buying a simpson is the cure, trust me,your wrong.Good luck.

Good to know on all accts sir. Thanks for the advice-it's on only about shave # 6-7 now so that's what I figured. If a Simpson isn't the right way to go,what's your opinion? Id like 2-- a really good quality silver tip and a good boars hair later. I have good hopes for this one currently in my possession, but I'll return it again if it falters much more.

Default Hairs coming out my brush

    I've heard Rogaine works.

Seriously though, it'll likely just settle down on the shedding. I've got a custom badger that sheds a little still after 3 months. I only pluck the hairs if they are obviously loose (poking out from the rest of the pack).

    Time will tell.
