Id like 2-- a really good quality silver tip and a good boars hair later. I have good hopes for this one currently in my possession, but I'll return it again if it falters much more.
    Give it some more time,Simpson,Rooney,Thater,Plisson, all make fine top of the line brushes,but all will shed to a point.
    All my brushes are homebrew TGNs,they all shed in the beginning,than they stop except for an errant hair now and than.The same as any other shaving brush.

    How long is "the beginning"? One year? Two years?

    I'm still getting enough shedding to be annoying 3 of every 4 shaves. The knot is a year old and I feel like i'm babying it, like it's the most delicate thing in the room.

    ++++++++++++++

    update: another contact with the supplier yielded a replacement knot. and also I ordered from the other source too. BAD
