Thanked: 220I just recieved the exact same brush in the mail today! I went for this one because the Simpson Chubby I wanted was sold out. Good to hear you like it, I'm trying mine out tonight.

I thought that I would take a picture of my lather results between my two brushes (see my original post).
I used Tabac soap and soaked both brushes in water for the same amount of time. I loaded both brushes with 60 circular strokes and then built lather in my scuttle for 2 minutes each.
In case you were wondering that is my new Thater on the left and my Simpson Beaufort 4 Pure Badger on the right.
I'm still learning so my technique is probably not perfect but you can't argue with the difference in results since the lather was developed the exact same way by the same person.
Love my Thater...
Rich

Nice Brush. I have a couple in 2 Band, and they are just fantastic brushes.

Thanked: 16I recently got my first Thater and am quite happy with it. I like large brushes and mine has a diameter/loft of 28/56. It's also quite dense. I'll get around to posting a picture.

I have one of the SRP Thaters. Love that brush. If I found another SRP in a fan shape, I'd buy it and sell all of my other brushes.

What width Thater did you go with? I'm about to make the same plunge from B4 to a Thater and can't figure out if I want 24 or 26 mm... not that it matters that much either way

I went with the 24 mm bulb... It is quite large once it is loaded with lather. I was also debating between the 24mm and the 26mm and even though I have never used a 26mm, I'm glad I went with the 24. I can't imagine using a larger one.

Congrats on the new Thäter, they are wonderful brushes with their "cloudlike" tips.
