If anyone has any info on this.... I put a bid of $9.99 on it and forgot I did it.... Ended up winning lol...
Looks to have a really nice handle, made in West Germany for a London based company?

Thanked: 116The handle is what attracted me to it! I can't find any reference to their 'vintage' shaving stuff. NO idea when this thing was made, what it's made out of, size, quality or packing of the knot.
The 'Vintage' thing is really suspect to me, it can't be even close to 1940's or before.... You'd think anyways.... West Germany importing stuff to GB during the WW's seems unlikely? no?

Thanked: 3225As far as I can recall Debenhams is a department store chain similar to Sears or The Bay here. West Germany only came into existence post WWII, prior to that it was simply Germany and after reunification with East Germany it is once again Germany. I think you have got yourself a very nice looking boar bristle brush of good quality. Get it broken in and you should be pleased with it. Nice find.

Thanked: 116I do love a nice boar brush! Buddy that was selling it is in Peru so it'll take a while to get here, I'm hoping it's bigger than my omega boar that my doberman got a hold of and mangled the handle....

Thanked: 3225Yea, hard to tell from photos what the knot size is. I would be surprised if it is bigger that a 22-24 mm knot and about a 55 mm loft. You should get a pool going to see who can guess closest to what it turns out to be. I am with you on the boar brushes, my Semogue 1350 broke in well and is real nice to use.

yea, impossible to tell the size from the pics however Boar isn't made in a wide variety of sizes and styles so I'd say it's on the small side. it does appear to be better quality wise than most Boars I've seen probably because it's a higher end store and they were custom made for them.

Thanked: 220Sorry, no info, but I must agree with you on the handle! No matter what the history is on it, for 10 bucks I'd say you got quite the deal there.
