Check out any of the omega pro series brushes.
Italianbarber.com has a good selection. I have the omega big pro and its one of my favs. I also have the turn back travel brush and its a great brush also and could easily be used as an everyday brush. Both where under 20 usd when I bought mine.

Thanked: 3225While you are checking out the Omega brushes take a gander at the Semogue boar brushes. I have the Semogue 1350 and like it very much. Works well with all the creams and hard soaps I have tried it with and the handle design is very comfortable. It does require some break in.

The only quality boar brush I have tried is the Omega Pro 48. That brush rocks! It's even been seeing more time lately than my Rooney and Thater Silvertips. I have never tried Semogue boar brushes, but I have read many good things about them.

The Semogue 610, or the same brush in red. It works excellent for me with creams and soaps. Also, I prefer the blonde color rather than the dyed faux badger. Check out westcoastshaving or theitalianbarber.

I'm w/ Bob on the Semogues. 'Have an 830 - which I understand is the 1305 w/ acrylic handle. Soft. The 620 is my fav - lotsa backbone.

Gentlemen, I am not all that fond of boar brushes — mine are all silvertips — although I have owned many and sold them. Of all, my preferred is the Semogue 830. This is a good brush. I might still break down and buy another one just to have one boar brush in the neighborhood. So my vote goes for the Semogue 830, which, by the way, is generally priced about $25.
