    Default Golddachs

My wife got me a golddachs brush in oak, on the box it says finest badger, under the box there is a sticker that says best badger, what is it? And is that brush better than my old original pure badger? It looks better and feels softer. Anyone tried one? I will try it tomorrow morning if I have time before work.

The terms companies use for brushes really are not uniform and that company may use finest and best interchangeably.

The brand I think is pretty reputable. Though I only I have ever seen soaps by them. I believe they are the maker of dovo brand soap. So they may also make dovos brushes.

I believe Finest goes from creamy tips and then total black, also called two band? Best has more of a sable look to me.

Aside the claims each company makes, traditional best badger is the grade between pure badger and silver-tip. Many think it's the bang for your buck grade because you don't have the stiffness you get with pure but have a much softer brush and not floppy like most silver-tips. It's really much closer to silver-tip than pure.

Of course you have to remember some outfits sell silver-tip and call it best badger too so you have to do some investigating.
